- Buy what you need, when you need it. The magical rule of Tim Ferriss - you probably don't need to pack everything for "just in case". Get an emergency fund of, say, $200, and use it when you need an umbrella, raincoat, swimsuit, etc.
- Switch it up! Be low maintenance. Do you really need a totally new outfit each and every day? Unless you're going to Milan, the answer is probably "no". Be creative, and mix and match. BONUS: Less clothes washing, less room, less dirty clothes to keep track of, less fuss!
- Limit yourself. By suitcase size, that is. You probably don't need one of those huge Big Mamma suitcases, so find something decently sized and pack to fit.
- Go with the flow. Relax! Chances are you'll be fine. Stick to a packing list and have your emergency fund. What could possibly go wrong?
